Celebrations!!!
Our next theme is Anything Goes - Celebrations!!
The projects can be for any celebration, a special birthday, anniversary, or a congratulatory card (maybe for all those Olympic medals that will be won in the next fortnight!)
As usual, the top prize winner will have £10 to spend on our website, www.thestampman.co.uk
I have used one of the newly released Stampendous stamps along with an assortment of their Shabby enamels to make a baby's first Christmas easel card.
Stampendous - First Christmas - Cling Rubber Stamp - CRR154
So, are we all excited about the opening ceremony tonight and the Olympics themselves? I'm certainly looking forward to watching the opening ceremony and there are certain events that I like to watch too, the swimming, gymnastics, athletics, and a few others.
There are so many bad things going on for people in our world these days that we really should be celebrating events like this and others we have had in the UK this year and be proud that we still have great events like this in our history to look back on.
So, let the celebrations continue!!!
We had an amazing 164 entries for our last challenge, we hope you will join us for our next challenge.
Thanks for visiting!

July 2012 - Stampendous - new designs and inspiration
I've picked a couple of stamp designs from the new Stampendous July 2012 - Every Day's A Holiday Supplement to feature today. These beautiful cards have been made by the Stampendous design team
The first is Stampendous - Poinsettia - Jumbo Cling Rubber Stamp - CRS5041
This card has a completely different look by stamping the image onto patterned paper
The second stamp set I'm featuring today is Stampendous - Snowy Postcard - Cling Rubber Stamp - CRR143
The first is Stampendous - Poinsettia - Jumbo Cling Rubber Stamp - CRS5041
This card has a completely different look by stamping the image onto patterned paper
As this is a jumbo stamp it will fill the front of a 5" or 6" card and will also be great for Christmas themed scrapbooking.
The design is not to fiddly to cut out so will be ideal for layering/decoupage.
The accompanying border stamp will be useful for so many projects, not just for Christmas!!
The second stamp set I'm featuring today is Stampendous - Snowy Postcard - Cling Rubber Stamp - CRR143
Here's some more gorgeous inspiration from the Stampendous design team for this stamp!
There really are far too many tempting designs in the new supplement!
I'll be adding more card ideas on our website by the Stampendous design team to help with inspiration.
There are many more new designs and enamel, fragments, glass glitter etc. They are all on our website if you dare to take a look!
Thanks for visiting.

Blog Candy Giveaway
I just wanted to remind you of the great blog candy that is available over on Asia's Blog where we are sponsoring a prize which will be from the new seasonal releases from Stampendous that they will be launching at the USA Trade show (CHA) in America this coming week. I am leaving the link to the original post here at the top of this page until the end of July, I hope you will visit Asia's blog and join in!
Asia has also had her first Blogstar post for Stampendous today with when I looked I realised that Asia has used a stamp she won in our annual awards competition, the I Love Paris stamp which is also a favourite of mine. It is a beautiful entry Asia!!
I have a couple of cards to show that I haven't shown here yet that I have made using the Woodware chippies, the ornaments sheet, along with Stampendous encrusted jewel Frantage products, the same I used on the handbag chippies in previous posts.
I made up an A5 sheet using matching shabby enamels, shaved ice and glitters then cut it up or tore it to use as borders.
Thanks for visiting and have a great week!!

Blog Candy Alert!!!
The super talented Asia King has recently been picked as a design team member for Stampendous and will be one of their Blog Stars for the next 3 months!! It is a well deserved position and Asia is the only UK member on this team.
We know that she is SO excited and therefore have decided to sponsor a prize as part of Asia's current blog candy competition.
There are 3 parts to the competition that you can enter, you will find all the details on Asia's blog HERE
The competitions end on 31st July 2012 and are open to those residing in Europe, so do pop over to Asia's blog to join in.
The prize is a mystery... But I can say that as Stampendous will be releasing new goodies at the CHA Trade Craft Show in Chicago we thought it would be great to offer something newly released!!
If you want some sneak peeks at the new stuff do keep an eye on the Stampendous blog for their up to date news from the show. Click on the image to visit their blog.
We will of course let you know about the availability of the new stuff as soon as we know.
Good luck!!!!

A couple more Frantaged Handbag Chippie cards
I made some more of these handbags cards using various Stampendous Frantage Shabby Embossing Powders, mainly shabby white, pink, blue and green along with the colour fragments, glass, glitter, and shaved ice.
I also embossed the smaller pieces to add as embellishments, but otherwise tried to keep the cards quite simple.
I used the same ingredients on a piece of A5 card then cut it down to use as borders. I also added some brown chalk to the edge of the embossed handbag to give it definition.
Someone asked me at a show last week if I use hairspray to seal the chalks on my cards and I have found that I haven't needed to with the Woodware chalks.
I've used a tiny strip of my embossed border piece along with some printed paper on the card below.
Although the pearls are self adhesive I used silicone to adhere them to the embossed pieces as I felt they needed to have something extra strong to keep them in place.
There are 6 handbags and other smaller embellishments you can add from the chippie sheets. They are A4 sheets and are currently £1 each so a good price. There are many other themes too including a pack of 2 blank sheets that you can use to cut your own shapes with Sizzix dies, (they are probably too thick to use with Spellbinder dies).
Just ink them with VersaMark ink and use the shabby embossing enamels as you would with normal ultra thick enamels but you can sprinkle in the fragments, glitter glass, and shaved ice for extra texture as I've used above.
The items I've used are:
Woodware - JL726 - Chippies - Handbags
Stampendous Fran-tage Embossing Enamels/Shaved Glass/Micas/Glitter
Mark Richards Bling
Woodware Blending Chalks
Just to let you know in advance, I will soon have news for you about a competition with blog candy, so do call back to get the details for that.
Well, this weather is getting really stupid, we have had sunshine today and a chance for everything to dry up but all of a sudden, out of the blue, there was a really loud clap of thunder, our poor dog who normally isn't that bothered about thunder was outside in the garden and he was really spooked by it, it was so weird when the sun was shining. The down pour followed soon after. Crazy crazy weather!!!!!!
Apart from the weather, I hope you are having a great weekend!
