Little Curly Owl... 2 Ways
I have quite a lot of favourite stamps in the latest Woodware Craft Collection release and this is one of them, the Curly Owl, designed by Francoise Read.
I paper pieced the owl with papers I had made with the Creative Palette, I took the prints from the plate with copier paper, copier paper is ideal to use when you want to make papers for this technique.
I stamped the owl 3 times onto different papers I had pulled from the plate, cut them out and pieced them together onto another stamped image on white card.
I coloured the heart with a red Tombow pen.
The alphabet background paper is from the Antique Paper Pad, this pad is great value at only £1.99 for 30 sheets of 6" x 6" assorted papers that mix and match!
The burlap trim is a small frayed piece cut from a square of jute. The packs of jute are brilliant, there are eight 6" x 6" pieces in each pack and as you tend to cut them down, they do go a long way. They also add a great texture to cards. I used one of the new Steampunk Owl Brass Charms attached with natural hemp cord. Again, this cord goes a long way, I've had mine for a long while and love the fact that there is a colour choice in the pack.
The twig is courtesy of a find by our dog, cut and mounted as an embellishment with silicone glue.
I also added glossy accents to the eyes
The card below was made by Francoise Read, I love her doodling and shading with the Little Curly Owl stamp! Francoise has used a background paper from the Vintage 2 paper pad.
The same Curly Owl stamp used 2 ways!

Woodware Craft Collection - new - Noel Reindeer
The Happy Christmas greeting is included with the Noel Reindeer stamp and polka dot paper from one of the new paper pads. The star button adds an embellishment along with some crystal self adhesive gems.
Now, if you think we are starting Christmas early, one of the new stamps is for Easter! You can't get much more ahead in your card making than this!
I used another piece of the same background paper I made with the Creative Palette and stamped the bunny, the papers you make certainly go a long way for paper piecing.
The swirly background paper (that matches the bunny in real life) is from the new paper pack Perfect Prints Stack Packs - Fresh - MSP228R - 15 x 15cm - 30 Assorted Sheets. At £1.99 per pack they are really good value!
If you think that bunny looks a bit wonky, he is, I used a wobble action fixing on the back of the panel so it wobbles, a great idea for any children cards, they will love it. Woodware - Action Wobble (12) - AW01
Francoise has also designed some lovely cute images for young children that I'll show another time.
Thanks for visiting, and have a great Sunday!

Curly Christmas
Woodware Curly Christmas Clear Magic Single - FRS271
I pulled a few A4 sheets from the Creative Palette that I have used with a number of cards I made with the new Woodware Craft Collection stamps that have just been released.
I used Tombow pens to add colour to the holly, berries, stars and the heart.
The polka dot paper background paper panel is from one of the new paper packs, it's nice to be able to mix and match your own backgrounds papers with pre-printed papers.
The white polka dot ribbon was made using the Brilliant Bowmaker.
The small words are included with the main stamp.
I hope you are enjoying the heatwave, isn't it nice to have proper British summer weather!

New - Woodware Stamp Collection - another Winter Trees card
Here is another card I made for the new Woodware Craft Collection catalogue with the Winter Trees stamps designed by Francoise Read.
I created the background using the Stampendous Creative Palette and embossed the trees with Stampendous detail white embossing powder. I added a some Stampendous chunky white embossing powder before heating it all. I pinched some of the chunky powder in my fingers and let it drop randomly onto the card before heating from underneath. The chunky powder expands when heated to create a snowy effect.
The new stamps are available now, you can find them on our website HERE

Sneaky Peeks for The Great British Craft Festival - North
Following on from yesterday's post here are a few sneaky peeks that Sarah Anderson has been working on for the Great British Craft Festival - North, next weekend at the Bolton Arena.
The card above features Jane's Cow Parsley Stamp by Woodware Craft Collection. Sarah has used graphic 45 ink pads on the creative palette.
This is a mop up page from paint on the creative palette, Sarah has added doodling to Jane Gill's Georgina flower stamp. The wording on both cards is Double Birthdays designed by Francoise Read for Woodware Craft Collection.
These are gorgeous Sarah!!! I will show more another time but if you'd like to visit Sarah's blog to read more about her experimentation with the Creative Palette, visit her blog HERE
We have added a lot of new products to our website, you will find them HERE. At the time of writing there are still photos to add, but there is a lot to see there already.
Thank you for visiting!

Hello!!!
Is anyone still around? It's been a rather quiet space here for a while, but hoping to banish the echo of this empty room and fill it with some Great British Craft Festival news and more...
I am soooo excited about next weekend, as it is The Great British Craft Festival time again, and, with a new venue!
The new show is at the Bolton Arena, Horwich, BL6 6LB on Sat 31st May (10am - 5pm) - Sun 1st June (10am - 4pm). Our stand is 34A, opposite the seating area with a handy cafe pod!
I am soooo excited as we have Francoise Read, designer of Woodware stamps (above), and, Sarah Anderson, one messy, messy lady! (below), demonstrating on our stand. They are both very dear friends of Ian and I, and I know we will have so much fun at the show!
Will be back soon with sneaky peeks...
Prepare for posts coming like buses now. (Yes, Carol, that's happening again :D )

Brilliant Bowmaker
Just quickly sharing a few of the demo bows I made at the Stitches Trade show with the Brilliant Bowmaker to give you an idea of the possibilities. I made loads of the bow above to dot about the stand.
There are more ideas to show and I'll give a few tips to help another time.
A fluffy rosette type bow takes just seconds longer than making a simple single or even double bow
I lost count of how many bows I made at the show. I wasn't really a bow lover before but I love them now as these are easy peasy to make!!
You can find the kit on our website HERE

More new products!!
I got back last night after a fabulous time at the trade show at the NEC and I wanted to share details of a couple of the new products that I fell in love with, I have tested them both out and I can highly recommend adding them to your craft stash.
I took over a hundred photos at the show, including freshly made inspiration from Fran from Stampendous, Lynell from Dreamweaver stencils, Jane and Francoise from Woodware Craft Collection too so I will share those with you another time.
I was working on the Woodware stand and was thrilled to be able to demonstrate the new Brilliant Bowmaker there. Fran was 'playing' with the Creative Palette and I loved what she created with it.
I have added the product descriptions below but will add more info another time.
Stampendous Creative Palette
The Creative Palette is a monoprinting plate that will allow you to create an infinite variety of backgrounds and textures for your mixed media canvases, art journals, scrapbook pages, cards, home decor and other projects. An indispensable tool, it allows you to use acrylic paints, inks, and other mediums together with stamps, textures and tools to create a Stampendous Impression every time. Don't miss the Stampendous series of YouTube videos on this terrific product. Palette is A4 (measures 210 X 293cm) and comes in a snap tight storage case allowing it to be stored in any position. Durable and versatile. Easy Clean Up! Instructions, tips and ideas included.
Brilliant Bowmaker
Our brand new package geared towards scrap bookers and card makers! This set contains our four smallest templates - the Medium, Small and Infant classic style for traditional loop bows as well as the 3/8" Snap template for flowers, snowflakes and butterflies. These come with a full colour card that explains the self tied method of construction for the Classic bows and detailed photos for the Snap template as well. If you are a visual learner, just scan the code on the back of the card to have our video guide you through the process.
I promised some ladies that I would let them know when I had added these 2 products when I got back. They are on our website now in the new stuff accessory section HERE
I had added more new products before and I know I still have more to add... I love this time of year!!!

Base-its and the new Woodware stamps
Here are a few more cards I made for the new Woodware catalogue with the new Base-It cards and Francoise Read's new stamp designs.
Base-Its have been designed to get your creativity flowing, not a blank piece of card in sight, just an easy way to add toppers, or stamped images. Pack contains 10 300gsm cards of one design and plain white envelopes. (6 x 6 inches) 15 x 15 cm.
There are 12 different pre-printed design packs available. Although they are pre-printed you can still add more ink/colour if you wish to.
For these cards I have used the cards as they come without adding any additional ink.
For the card above I have used:
Base-It's - Filigree Border B30016
Woodware Birthdays (Words to cheer) - Clear Magic Single FRS147
Jute square panel
Burlap Daisies - Small (15 in pack) 21mm - MFE146B
Crumpled Paper Pack
I used the Woodware Happiness is... (Inspirational words) Clear Magic Single FRS153 with Base-It cards and 2 new punches from Woodware the Butterfly and the leaf.
Base-It cards can be found HERE
