Little Curly Owl... 2 Ways
I have quite a lot of favourite stamps in the latest Woodware Craft Collection release and this is one of them, the Curly Owl, designed by Francoise Read.
I paper pieced the owl with papers I had made with the Creative Palette, I took the prints from the plate with copier paper, copier paper is ideal to use when you want to make papers for this technique.
I stamped the owl 3 times onto different papers I had pulled from the plate, cut them out and pieced them together onto another stamped image on white card.
I coloured the heart with a red Tombow pen.
The alphabet background paper is from the Antique Paper Pad, this pad is great value at only £1.99 for 30 sheets of 6" x 6" assorted papers that mix and match!
The burlap trim is a small frayed piece cut from a square of jute. The packs of jute are brilliant, there are eight 6" x 6" pieces in each pack and as you tend to cut them down, they do go a long way. They also add a great texture to cards. I used one of the new Steampunk Owl Brass Charms attached with natural hemp cord. Again, this cord goes a long way, I've had mine for a long while and love the fact that there is a colour choice in the pack.
The twig is courtesy of a find by our dog, cut and mounted as an embellishment with silicone glue.
I also added glossy accents to the eyes
The card below was made by Francoise Read, I love her doodling and shading with the Little Curly Owl stamp! Francoise has used a background paper from the Vintage 2 paper pad.
The same Curly Owl stamp used 2 ways!

Woodware Craft Collection - new - Noel Reindeer
The Happy Christmas greeting is included with the Noel Reindeer stamp and polka dot paper from one of the new paper pads. The star button adds an embellishment along with some crystal self adhesive gems.
Now, if you think we are starting Christmas early, one of the new stamps is for Easter! You can't get much more ahead in your card making than this!
I used another piece of the same background paper I made with the Creative Palette and stamped the bunny, the papers you make certainly go a long way for paper piecing.
The swirly background paper (that matches the bunny in real life) is from the new paper pack Perfect Prints Stack Packs - Fresh - MSP228R - 15 x 15cm - 30 Assorted Sheets. At £1.99 per pack they are really good value!
If you think that bunny looks a bit wonky, he is, I used a wobble action fixing on the back of the panel so it wobbles, a great idea for any children cards, they will love it. Woodware - Action Wobble (12) - AW01
Francoise has also designed some lovely cute images for young children that I'll show another time.
Thanks for visiting, and have a great Sunday!

Curly Christmas
Woodware Curly Christmas Clear Magic Single - FRS271
I pulled a few A4 sheets from the Creative Palette that I have used with a number of cards I made with the new Woodware Craft Collection stamps that have just been released.
I used Tombow pens to add colour to the holly, berries, stars and the heart.
The polka dot paper background paper panel is from one of the new paper packs, it's nice to be able to mix and match your own backgrounds papers with pre-printed papers.
The white polka dot ribbon was made using the Brilliant Bowmaker.
The small words are included with the main stamp.
I hope you are enjoying the heatwave, isn't it nice to have proper British summer weather!

New - Woodware Stamp Collection - another Winter Trees card
Here is another card I made for the new Woodware Craft Collection catalogue with the Winter Trees stamps designed by Francoise Read.
I created the background using the Stampendous Creative Palette and embossed the trees with Stampendous detail white embossing powder. I added a some Stampendous chunky white embossing powder before heating it all. I pinched some of the chunky powder in my fingers and let it drop randomly onto the card before heating from underneath. The chunky powder expands when heated to create a snowy effect.
The new stamps are available now, you can find them on our website HERE
