  3. Hi Jill, you are so generous with your blog candy, you have certainly brought a smile to my face this cold Sunday evening, especially as our kettle blew up tonight after all the shops had shut , so no cups of tea for us tonight, Boo Hoo.
Anyway, back to Christmas. This means relaxing, family time for us. It is the only time you don't have to feel guilty just doing nothing but enjoying each other's company!!
I've linked your candy on my sidebar.
Hope you have a good week, wrap up warm.

  4. Hi Jill...for me, as I get older, I realize how important it is to savor every holiday with family. As we lose loved ones along the way, it's a gentle reminder that we are never guaranteed tomorrow, so for me, Christmas is a time to celebrate God's love in sending His Son and giving us family to love.
Thank you for your kindness to me throughout the years and Merry Christmas to you and all who follow your blog!

  5. Christmas is fun, family and festivities. It's also about giving thanks for the year that's gone and remembering those who've made the year what it's been.

  6. What a lovely thought Jill.
To me Christmas is all about spending time with family and catching up with loved ones you may not see as often. This year is difficult for us as our elder daughter is in Japan on her year abroad and we can only speak to her on the web cam-the Japanese don't celebrate Christmas so I know we will miss each other very much.
    Thanks, Fliss xx

  9. hi, thank you for the chance to win yet another fab candy! It is a real treat to be in with a chance!

Christmas to me is so special as I get to have my gorgeous daughters - who have both flown the nest to make their own way in the world - come and stay with me for a day or two with their partners! Those times are so rare now but that makes Christmas even more special. I remember staying up til the small hours trying to finish sewing them each a new fab xmas dress on xmas eve and then in a blink of the eye they are all grown up and gone!

  10. Christmas to means time with family and time to reflect on how grateful I am for the people and things in my life. My life may not be perfect, but there are a lot of people out there with bigger concerns and problems than mine.

Thanks for the opportunity to win, and have a wonderful holiday season!

  12. Christmas to me means spending time with all my family, we have food which we all make each contributing to the meal so no one has all the cooking to do then we sit down and play games, no electronic versions things like card games , chicken foot dominoes ,uno or some of the modern board games there are so many more than cluedo and monoploy like agricol, manhatten and small world. It means we can talk, drink and be merry. We do get together throughout the year but some how christmas is special as though its a time to reflect how lucky we are to have each other around.
Giving unexpected gifts is always fun too and my father in law always comes up with some wierd ones especially for the males of the family, one year they all got harmonicas and they are all tone deaf ,it was like having a house ful uf 3 year olds playing but very funny. Happy Christmas to everyone. Julye

  14. Hi Keryn
Ooh lovely idea for candy - thanks for the chance to win.
As the years pass us by I think Christmas is a time to reflect on all the good things we have in our lives and to be thankful that we have our health and our family and friends around us because there are alot of people out there who will have a very bleak time at Christmas.

  16. What a great give-away. Christmas is a time for loving and giving and spending with friends and family but we should widen our circle of friendship and think about those who might possibly be spending Christmas alone.

  18. Christmas means the same to me as to many others. It is a time for relaxation, spending time with family and friends, remembering the loved ones who sadly are no longer with us. Also for remembering all the new friends I have made through the year and have supported me.

  19. Hi Jill, I can only echo what everyone else has said, Christmas is a time for family and friends and spending "quality" time with the kids and being thankful for what we have. Of course pre Christmas madness always sets in and the longing for 25th December by my 3 boys is definately already here. Forgot to say the icing on the cake would be waking up to a white christmas, but not too much!!! The kids would love that.
Thanks for the blog candy & a very Merry Christmas.

  20. More fantastic candy, Jill. You spoil us!

    Christmas is about

    Caring for each other,
    Having fun with family,
    Remembering others not so fortunate,
    Icing the cake,
    Sharing,
    Talking,
    Making cards and gifts,
    Acknowledging the birth of Jesus,
    and finally (if we're honest)
Sinking into an armchair with a sigh of relief that it's all over again until next year!

  31. Christmas to me is a magical time. A time for families, going to the children's services with the grandchildren; midnight service with the older members of the family; seeing the children's faces as they unwrap their presents and enjoying good company, laughter and hilarity over the festive meals, washing up and board and card games. Yes we still have an old fashioned Christmas in our family.

  46. What a find this blog is.. I've made myself a 'follower'..

Christmas - for me it's a time to indulge myself with slushy films and rubbish songs I'd never watch or listen to any other time of the year as I make my cards.. Followed by a mad scramble to get all the other things done that I've left until I really have to do them.. By Christmas Day I'm ready to fall over and relax - but then the real work starts..LOL..! I love it..!

  51. To me Christmas is the time when you brush aside the worry and anxiety of everyday life to really appreciate what is important. Whether it is the sound of laughter during a favorite holiday movie; the smells of favorite cookies baking; the awe in a childs eyes as they listen to even the oldest Christmas story, or the warmth in the voice of a close friend calling from far away. It's about bringing joy to the lives of those less fortunate. It's about counting the true blessings; family, health, and joy.
