I made this card for our last TV show Japanese Gardens.
It has the scrunch technique at the side (that I'll explain another time) and shows how the blobs dry when this technique is used with the stains instead of the Moonshadow Inks.
I embossed the plum blossom first randomly all over the piece of card then added blobs of the stain and let them blend together. Some of the stain has caught in the embossed design. This gives a different finish rather than embossing onto a piece of ready prepared stained card.
Looks gorgeous Jill xx
ReplyDeleteI like that effect you've got with the blossom. It reminds me of painted silk. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments. Most of the colour on that panel came from one jar, the Sweet Violet Purple Teal and is one of my favourite individual stains, I still find it hard to believe that 2 very different colours are in one jar, that effect just happens Jo, it reminds me of silk too.

Hello Jill
ReplyDeleteJust found out from Kay Carley's blog that you now have a blog YIPEE!!.
A bit late I know but I have been out of action for the past couple of months with various health problems.
Will now have to play catch up with all your earlier blogs as well as Kay's & I am sure I will not be disappointed if this card is anything to go by.
Love all that you do & try my hardest to watch whenever you are on "Create & Craft" as you are a true inspiration to me.
Keep up the good work!!
Love Kay's new stamps & I will be adding them to my "Stamp Man" collection when I can afford them; at the moment the "Funky Frames" just have the edge if I can only have one set.
This s a beautiful card Jill. I loved the Japanese programme on C&C. It's one of my favourites and I watch it over and over because there are so many lovely techniques to watch and the stamps are gorgeous.

Lovely card Jill, I have this set and use it to make smaller cards. The Starburst Stains make it really special
